1&1 Jobs & Careers at 1&1 - Your Prospects

Careers at 1&1 – We provide endless opportunities

In a fast and dynamic market environment, a decisive part of our success depends on our employees quickly adapting themselves to changing situations, growing with us and constantly learning new things. That’s why we get together with you and your manager to decide which seminars and further training courses would serve to bring you the success that you want to achieve.

With 1&1 you have access to the right training, no matter whether you want to quickly rise to a specific role, or gain experience in a broader range.

Entry programmes show

Easy entry, diverse subjects, the best prospects!

With our two entry programmes 1&1 master+ and 1&1 Source Center, we can give you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our company more quickly than if you joined 1&1 independently. This is especially useful if you have an area of the business in mind, but want to find out more about particular positions before making a final decision.

Both of these programmes are flexible.  Whilst the 1&1 Source Center is explicitly directed at software and frontend developers, whether they have professional experience or not, the 1&1 master+ programme is open to all college and university graduates who wish to subsequently study for a master’s degree.

Training programmes show

Demanding work, personal support and great opportunities!

At 1&1, we hold regular internal seminars from language courses to training courses in soft skills and specific programmes for employees who wish to become a manager or expert.

Together with your line manager, choose what would be beneficial to both you and your work. Many of our seminars are held internally or are provided in an E-Learning format. All of our internal seminars are tailored to your exact needs, because they’re only on offer to our staff. You can also participate in external seminars if required. Our experts from the Corporate People & Organisational Development team are there to help you with choosing suitable programmes.

Support programmes show

Flexible development plans, new challenges, constant development!

We offer our key players special support programmes. This targeted, intensive support enables our employers to climb the career ladder faster. We have established the 1&1 Graduate Programme for especially talented and committed university graduates. We also support our managerial staff and experts with special potential, with the 1&1 Move programme, which was given the 2013 HR Excellence Award.

Your application should present a complete picture of you. This includes:

Cover letter

The cover letter is one of the most important elements of your application. Explain as clearly as possible why you’re applying for this specific position at our company. Don’t tell us your life story, just explain what makes you so interesting that we should invite you for an interview. Please don’t forget to include your salary expectations and earliest starting date and/or current term of notice.

Make sure there are no gaps in your education and work record. You should generally begin with your higher education details. Any gaps (e.g. application phase, stays abroad, etc.) must be explained. We are also interested in your language and IT skills, as well as any hobbies.

Please attach all important documents. These include employer references, school leaving, training, and higher education certificates. However, seminar certificates or similar participation documents, often just make your application unnecessarily bulky.

In the case of certain positions (e.g. Website Management), we attach great importance to suitable references or work samples. This will generally be requested in the respective job advertisement.

What do I have to consider when applying by e-mail or using an online form?

The best idea is to pack all of your documents into a single PDF document. This allows us to open everything with just one click. It also ensures that the layout of your documents isn’t altered. The file should be no larger than 5 MB.
